‘71 Volkswagen Bettle

This morning Gravelrash removed a headunit from the glovebox & Installed a Remote switched module with USB phone charging port into a friends ‘71 VW Beetle.

Mounting the module in the front of the vehicle next to the fuse box and dropping the USB plug through an already existing cable grommet made the job very easy.

I wasn’t quite happy with the sound quality when I discovered the only 2 speakers where actually down low behind the front seats.

Keeping in mind your ears are on the side of your head facing forward and not in your bum…

Remembering I had a prototype VW dash speaker bracket in the shed I soon had this mounted up with a 4” Blaupunkt speaker. This alone totally changed the sound quality of the car.

For some reason our German Shepard kept guard of this German car all day…
