Our Director Greg Larsen has lived in Dalby, QLD since 1992, having finished his senior secondary schooling at Dalby State High School. Since childhood, he has always been interested in cars, hot rods and modifications. Combining his passion with work, Greg has spent over 20 years in the automotive parts industry, working with a multitude of brands such as Holden, Nissan and Toyota. His journey to specialist car modules started one night in a hotel room, thinking about the possibilities of a modified unit for his own vehicle. The spark was ignited, and Greg spent evenings and weekends in his shed creating modules, improving them to be smaller but more powerful. Finally, he took the leap and is now working on his passion full time, Gravelrash was born.
Greg has been part of the car enthusiast community for 20+ years and sees the members as his family. Greg is a proud member of the Dalby Cruizers car club. He attributes the meeting of his wife to the car community, having met her at the wedding of a fellow car enthusiast. Alongside his beautiful wife, Greg has a daughter with whom he enjoys spending time. She is a talented vintage car photographer so enjoys going to car shows with her dad. Greg also sponsors a Youtube channel called Dadz garage which show cases car shows, owners and events in SE Queensland.
Greg enjoys the challenge of being able to fit new technology into older cars, to keep the traditional look and appeal of the car whilst upgrading it with advanced technology. Greg enjoys attending car shows with his display trailer that can demonstrate how his technological concept works. He has a passion for developing new models for vehicle fitment and enjoys every challenge that comes his way.
And the name Gravelrash? Where did it come from? Well, an old email address from the early days of the internet! Greg laughs about always having gravel rash as a kid from skateboarding and BMX riding.
